Converting a 360 bracketed image into a compressed low-dynamic range jpg requires several steps in order to ensure that the image works correctly.
This is because standard HDR software doesn't know that the left hand side and right hand side of the image are actually adjacent.

Steps to Follow

1. Take several bracketed images with the 360 camera without moving the tripod.

2. Transfer the images to a PC

3. Using Hugin:
3a. import the images
3b. create control points (Hugin CPFind)
3c. Optimise Geometric
3d. Optimise Photometric (HDR)
3e. Stitcher - calculate optimal size
3f. Exposure from any arrangement (tiff) [x] (not this stage)
3g. Exposure HDR (exf) [x]
3h. HDR merger / options / average

4. Using Luminance HDR
4a. Open exf image
4b. Set result size to largest
4c. Update preview
4d. Export as jpg

5. Using exiftool
5a. exiftool -ProjectionType="equirectangular" file.jpg

* This route leaves a line down the boundary of the image - need another solution
