This note describes how to convert between equi-rectangular and cubic images.

hugin - sphere stitching and file conversion
panotools - perl module for image manipulation


0. Create Equirectangular Image

1. Convert to Cube

erect2cubic --erect=equirectangularimage.tif --ptofile=e2c.pto
nona -o convert e2c.pto


2. Edit floor
3a. Convert back to Equirectangular
3b. Convert with Marzipano





To Install Hugin:
